WARNING this is all OPINION if you don't agree me that's fine

1.  Kanto

I loved Pokemon since the beginning and although my 1st game was Sapphire, the original always had an impact on me I had a ton of the tapes and i'd watch em again and again. The memories of figuring out what the 150th pokemon on my pokemon poster was and what it was capable of. Seeing the movie for the 1st time was mind-blowing, I never saw it in theaters though that kinda sucked but i still enjoyed the VHS. My absolute fav. Pokemon was Bulbasaur but that was before Mewtwo and Hitmonchan. Bottom Line I might sound like a qoute, unquote Gen 1er but I am a Gen1er.

2.  Kalos

This region was a HUGE improvement over Unova. Better Pokemon, Better graphics, Mega Evolution, a shipping that actually makes sense. I loved the fact that the classics starters Mega Evolutions I wanted to pick Bulbasaur but since I chose Chespin I had to go with squirtle. In the anime they gave us Serena who met Ash as child and developed a crush on him when they meet up again and unlike Pokeshipping (AshxMisty) where it was only the English Dub that hinted a romance, this one does it in both versions which gives fans hope of it being canon, probably won't happen but its still nice to imagine it. The other thing is that they finally broke the Fire/Fighting cycle and made one of Ash's water starters evolve for once.

3.  Sinnoh

I haven't enjoyed a region this good since Kanto. As all you know i'm not the biggest fan of Hoenn so I thought the Sinnoh Pokemon were alot better. The Physical/Special split helped out alot of crippled Pokemon. It introduced new Evolutions and they were awesome. The anime had Dawn who's my fav Pokemon girl and actually has more focus than Ash most of the time that's kinda interesting, You had Paul which in my opinion is better than Gary cause he represents every competitive player.

4.  Johto

I'm gonna be honest this region i had the least experience with I saw Pokemon 3 the movie and Pokemon 4ver but aside from that i never watched the Johto series until near end of Master Quest mainly because I never knew about it cause my only source of pokemon were VHS tapes and I never knew they showed newer episodes on Kids WB. But years later I caught up on this region and I liked it the pokemon were fun and creative the movies were good and that's about it.

5.  Hoenn

Before Unova this was the region where I thought Pokemon had given up. No more Misty, Animation looked different, Pokemon didn't look like pokemon for the most part which I really can't say cause what's a pokemon supposed to look like? etc. But I've appreciated it a little more as time went by I still watched the anime, I played Sapphire which ironically was my 1st Pokemon game. Ruby and Sapphire in my opinion had the best music my fav. pokemon game tune is actually the Route 101 music  [link]  . Point being used to hate it now I don't

6.

By far had the worst pokemon design wise. But Unova did give us some good pokemon but a majority them were terrible. The anime i think is the most forgettable in series and Iris the 1st black character in the series was heavily disliked by fans for some reason. I think the reason was that she was annoying and people hated when she constantly called Ash a kid. The redeeming factor was the fact the game had the best story which I really never payed attention too just cause i just want to play the game. If you like this region that's fine but in my opinion this one is by far the most forgettable.

Kanto and Sinnoh are my favorites
I also love Dawn, by far the cutest main human character in the series
But Paul..? Versus Gary Motherfucking Oak?

JK, I actually don't remember Paul, but I really just wanted to say that
Also, now that this Journal's Flame War is about Race, what is Brock? Also, where'd he go in the anime?
